Wingset

Safety center

Meet people. Stay in control.

Every profile comes with context from people who know them. Here's what's built into Wingset, how to look after yourself before and after you meet, and where to turn if something goes wrong.

Built in

What Wingset does for you.

Wingset is in early development, so tools marked “Coming next” are still being built.

See who vouches for them

Every answer from a friend shows who wrote it and how they know the person.

Look after yourself

Dating safely, before and after you meet.

01

Getting to know someone

  • Take it slow

Chat in the app first, and try a quick video call before you meet. It's the easiest way to know someone is who they say.

  • Guard your details

Keep your address, workplace and daily routine private until you really trust someone.

  • Never send money

Anyone who asks for money, gift cards or crypto is a red flag, whatever the story. Block and report them.

02

Meeting in person

  • Meet in public

Pick a busy café, bar or park for the first few dates. Never a home.

  • Tell a friend

Share who you're meeting, where and when, and check in afterwards.

  • Get yourself there and back

Keep control of your own ride, and your own drinks, so you can leave whenever you like.

03

Consent and boundaries

  • Yes can become no

Consent is ongoing. Anyone can change their mind at any time, and everyone should check in.

  • Trust your gut

If something feels off, it's fine to end the date early. You don't owe anyone an explanation.

  • Look after your health

If things get physical, talk about protection and testing first.

If something goes wrong

You're not on your own.

  1. 1If you're in danger, call your local emergency number straight away (911 in the US).
  2. 2Block the person, so they can't see your profile or contact you again.
  3. 3Report them. Reports are private: the person won't know it was you.

Confidential help lines in the US

Outside the US, your local emergency number and support services can help.

Everyone agrees to the House rules.
